I Took My Brother's Dachshund to the Cafe (1996)

It's been so long since I've been to a cafe that this ancient quatrain seems quaint.

We sipped espresso, snacked on scones,

we even ate a macaroon.

We talked of life, we talked of bones,

we said that we must come back soon.
